Persons coming to the Vital Records window at the Dept Public Health to pick up a birth certificate for a child under 12 months of age will receive a coupon for reduced price Tdap vaccine. 

Tdap vaccine is a tetanus booster shot that also helps prevent Pertussis (whooping cough), a respiratory disease that gives adults a bad cough, but can cause serious illness and even death in babies.  Those caring for children under 12 months of age are encouraged to get the Tdap immunization against Pertussis.
